2 Day Practical Mentorship Workshop

Running a business efficiently in tough economic times requires knowledge and skill across a broad range of disciplines – not least that of  Accounting with the Understanding of Financial Statements as well as knowing your business and personal taxation obligations, applying the necessary planning therefore.

The Personal Mentorship Program is designed to provide information, hands on training and tools on how to   understand essential accounting principles as well as how to read and use financial statements to apply for comprehensive analysis of your business, as well as the understanding and calculation of your personal and business tax.

With this personalized one on one mentorship training to suit your specific business industry needs the following will be covered in depth over the two days :

1) Taxation – The ins and outs of personal andbusiness tax are covered, providing the participant with an awareness and specific skills, with the aim of improving the tax efficiency of themselves and their business.

Tax is an integrated discipline, and it is essential to understand the rules around tax implications leading to taxable income, to ensure that tax optimization is embedded within the personal and business situation.

With the automated tax calculator workbooks provided you will be shown how to efficiently calculate your own personal tax and business tax.

**Comprehensive hardcopy notes are also provided for personal and business tax.

2) FINANCIAL STATEMENTS Thementorship training then introduces the theory around the concepts and rules used in preparing the financial statements, with a focus on IFRS for SME’s.

The Statement of Financial Position, Comprehensive Income and Cash Flow statement are examined in detail, with a 5-point methodology used in reading these statements.

The emphasis of the workshop is that of generating from sales revenue, profits, and then turning those profits into cash.

Introduction of ratio analysis is also covered to understand the key relationships between the three financial statements.

3) USING THE BUSINESS ANALYSER WORKBOOK With the above theory covered, the Financial Analysis workbook is then introduced using a case study to illustrate the practical content of the above.

The focus is on what the three key users of the financials will be looking at: SARS, Bankers and owners of the business.

You then will have the opportunity to analyze your own specific business, using the powerful analysis workbook and compiling a report that can be generated for distribution to your banker or investor.

You will also be coached in how to value your own business.

The automated Business Analyzer Workbook with extra on-line video training videos to use the workbook efficiently are provided.

**Comprehensive hard copy notes to understand financial statements are also provided.

4) SUPPORT You will then receive support for a period of 12 months thereafter, with access to any one of our accountants, who will assist you with any of the above workshop material, that you encounter back in the workplace.Thisassistance will consist of telephonic and email support, review of your workbooks (tax and statements) to ensure you have understood the content and can apply this within your own business and at least one day where you require a follow up session with the lecturer, to discuss and ask questions around the implementation of the learning’s.

5) OPTIONAL EXTRAS  candidates can elect to subscribe to the following additional services:

  1. Annual updates to the tax workbooks: R 500.00 pa
  2. Financial analysis of their business 3 x pa R 250.00 / month
  3. Annual Financial Statements quote on inquiry
  4. Tax calculation and submissions quote on enquiry


The Excel automated Business Analyzer Workbook and Tax Calculator workbooksare supplied, with on-line video training videos covering the programme’s material provided,enabling the participant to reference the course material at their leisure and to close any memory gaps after the workshop.
